A UK DTC brand on WooCommerce was seeing 4.2s LCP on mobile, 1.8% conversion on paid traffic and rising Meta ad costs. The site could not be scaled further on WooCommerce without substantial infra investment.
Our approach
- Audit of existing WooCommerce catalog, URL structure and current SEO positions.
- Migration plan with URL mapping and 301 redirects for every indexed product and collection.
- Rebuild on Shopify Hydrogen (Next-like headless storefront) with custom checkout and PDPs.
- PLP, PDP and checkout CRO pass based on existing Meta Pixel and GA4 funnels.
- Zero-downtime DNS cutover and post-migration Search Console monitoring.
The outcome
- Mobile LCP dropped from 4.2s to 1.3s.
- Paid-traffic conversion rose from 1.8% to 3.4% within 30 days.
- Organic sessions recovered within 21 days of migration; traffic up 12% month-2.
- Meta ad CAC reduced by 28% due to faster PDPs and fewer checkout drop-offs.
